Ken Harrington, ACI

Ken Harrington managed the Home Center Division for W.R. Grace, Atlanta, GA, from 1980-1985, was a commissioned Certified Training Instructor for Wood Destroying Insects in 1981, and Certified Dimensional Lumber Inspector by Georgia Pacific in 1982. Ken obtained the Osmose Pressure Treated Lumber Certification in 1982, as well as Plumbing, Electrical and Roofing installation and inspection. After 35 years in Retail Management, 15 years for a Fortune 500 retail chain in Central Ohio, Ken retired from retail.

Harrington has been inspecting homes in Central Ohio since March, 1999, joined ASHI in July, 2003, and founded Kustom Home Inspection in 2003 as a multi-inspector business. He has performed over 7,000 residential and commercial inspections in Central Ohio and is currently a licensed home inspector by the State of Ohio, and licensed for WDI and radon testing. He is certified for irrigation systems, hot tubs and swimming pools, and is a certified mold specialist. Ken served as an Adjunct Professor at Cincinnati State Community College, Workforce Development, Sharonville, OH, teaching Home Inspector Training and has been a Certified Instructor for The ASHI School since 2009. He previously served on the ASHI National Board of Directors and 10 years as ASHI National Chair and/or member of the Chapter Relations Committee. He currently serves as a member of the Ohio Joint Chapter Legislative Committee and Executive Director of the Ohio Chapter of ASHI.

Forrest Lines, ACI Retired

Forrest Lines is a 25-year veteran of the home inspection industry. He has logged 15,000 fee paid draw inspections as well as in excess of 10,000 fee paid home inspections. He is certified through the America Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) as an ACI (ASHI Certified Inspector) as well as holding a Radon license in the state of Ohio and a WDI (Wood Destroying Insect) license as well.

Lines has a B.S. in Education and has taught various subjects in Elementary, Middle School and High school. He has taught home inspection education for Inspection Training Associates (ITA) and was lead instructor in the Ohio school he operated for 5 years. He opened the NAHI Institute in Ohio and taught home inspection there as well. He currently teaches for the ASHI School.

Forrest is a member of the Ohio Chapter of ASHI, where he is Education Director and Vice President. He is currently retired and lives with his wife of 38 years Gail in Gahanna Ohio

Blaine Swan, ACI, SME

Blaine is a certifi ed home inspector in both Canada (CAPHI) and the USA (ASHI), and has been the President of the CAPHI since 2012. Specializing in both residential and commercial home inspections, Blaine Swan, under “True Pro Home Inspections“, has been a registered home inspector for more than a decade. In 2012, Blaine’s profi ciency in the fi eld of home inspection led him to the position of President for the CAHPI (The largest association of home inspectors in Canada). Blaine has also been a certifi ed Home Inspector for the American Society of Home Inspectors for more than 5 years and approaches each inspection with an unprecedented set of procedures and standards for clients.
